Special Issues:  Challenges due to budget constraints and public inputs were resolved by partnering and working with various City's departments.

JMEC has been structural engineer for designing and overseeing the construction of two (2) steel archways in the Todos Santos Plaza.   JMEC worked with various City's departments and attended public meetings to address and to incorporate public comments and ideas in the design.

This project is unique in that public opinions really count in the design process.  It is a product of many reviews and public meetings, where inputs from the citizens, Mayor, City Councils, City Planning, Engineering and Public Works have helped to shape the architecture and the lighting requirements.

To meet the budget constraints, the City is credited with its efforts in bringing the costs down by engaging Public Works Department to perform some of the construction activities, including utilities pothole, trimming trees, installing electrical raceway and other activities.
